Known Precautions and Warnings :
Almotriptan malate interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Combination of 5-HT1 receptor agonists within a 24-hour period is contraindicated.
Resulting In: coronary artery vasospasm Concomitant use of Almotriptan malate and Sumatriptan Succinate may increase the risk of vasospasm.
Eletriptan HBr interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Do not use with other 5-HT1 agonist within 24 hours of Relpax treatment
Concomitant use of Eletriptan Hydrobromide and Sumatriptan Succinate may increase the risk of vasospasm.
Frovatriptan Succinate interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Combination of 5-HT1 receptor agonists within a 24-hour period is contraindicated.
Resulting In: coronary artery vasospasm Concomitant use of Frovatriptan Succinate and Sumatriptan Succinate may increase the risk of vasospasm.
Naratriptan HCl interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Combination of 5-HT1 receptor agonists within a 24-hour period is contraindicated.
Resulting In: coronary artery vasospasm Concomitant use of Naratriptan HCl and Sumatriptan Succinate may increase the risk of vasospasm.
Nefazodone HCl interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Avoid this combination if possible. Start with low dose and monitor patient closely.
Resulting In: Serotonin syndrome Concomitant use of Sumatriptan Succinate and Nefazodone HCl may cause "serotonin syndrome" including irritability, weakness, tremor, muscle spasm and loss of consciousness.
Rizatriptan Benzoate interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Combination of 5-HT1 receptor agonists within a 24-hour period is contraindicated.
Resulting In: coronary artery vasospasm Concomitant use of Rizatriptan Benzoate and Sumatriptan Succinate may increase the risk of vasospasm.
Venlafaxine HCl interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Avoid this combination if possible. Start with low dose and monitor patient closely.
Resulting In: Serotonin syndrome Concomitant use of Sumatriptan Succinate and Venlafaxine HCl may cause "serotonin syndrome" including irritability, weakness, tremor, muscle spasm and loss of consciousness.
Zolmitriptan interacts with Sumatriptan Succinate
Combination of 5-HT1 receptor agonists within a 24-hour period is contraindicated.
Resulting In: coronary artery vasospasm Concomitant use of Zolmitriptan and Sumatriptan Succinate may increase the risk of vasospasm.
