Known Precautions and Warnings :
Chlorpromazine HCl interacts with Clonidine
No adjustments appear to be necessary.
Chlorpromazine HCl may increase the antihypertensive effects of Clonidine. Clonidine may decrease the antipsychotic effects of Chlorpromazine HCl.
Clonidine interacts with Olanzapine
Monitor blood pressure carefully; sitting and standing
Resulting In: Hypotension Coadministration of Clonidine and Olanzapine may enhance the hypotensive effect.
Clonidine interacts with Prazosin HCl
Monitor blood pressure and adjust CLONIDINE dose as needed. May require a higher CLONIDINE dose for patients on PRAZOSIN.
Prazosin HCl can reduce the antihypertensive effects of Clonidine.
Cyclosporine interacts with Clonidine
Monitor CYCLOSPSORINE levels and adjust dose of CYCLOSPORINE as necessary.
Clonidine may increase the serum levels and pharmacological and adverse effects of Cyclosporine.
Fluphenazine interacts with Clonidine
No adjustments appear to be necessary.
Clonidine may decrease the antipsychotic effects of Fluphenazine. Fluphenazine may increase the antihypertensive effects of Clonidine.
Levodopa interacts with Clonidine
No adjustments appear to be necessary.
Clonidine may reduce the effectivness of Levodopa.
Nitroprusside Sodium interacts with Clonidine
Monitor blood pressure and watch for signs of hypotension. Adjust therapy as needed.
Resulting In: Hypotension Clonidine may increase the antihypertensive effects of Nitroprusside Sodium.
Verapamil HCl interacts with Clonidine
Avoid this combination or use extreme caution when using these drugs together.
Resulting In: Hypotension, AV nodal block Effects of Clonidine and Verapamil HCl may be increased.
