Atorvastatin Calcium interacts with Clofibrate
Avoid this drug combination if possible. This drug combination, however, may be beneficial in patients with severe hyperlipidemias. Monitor patients for signs of muscle pain and weakness.
Resulting In: Rhabdomyolysis Concomitant use of Atorvastatin Calcium and Clofibrate can potentiate some adverse effects.
Atorvastatin Calcium interacts with Cyclosporine
Carefully monitor patients receiving these two drugs concomitantly.

Resulting In: Polymyositis, Rhabdomyolysis Concomitant use of Nefazodone HCl and Atorvastatin Calcium can potentiate some adverse effects.
Atorvastatin Calcium interacts with Niacin
This drug combination may be beneficial in patients with severe hyperlipidemias. Weigh the benefits vs risks and monitor patients for signs of muscle pain and weakness.
Resulting In: Rhabdomyolysis Concomitant use of Atorvastatin Calcium and Niacin can potentiate some adverse effects.
Atorvastatin Calcium interacts with Verapamil HCl
Avoid this combination if possible; if not, use a lower dose of HMG-CoA REDUCTASE INHIBITOR. Ask patient to report any muscle pain and tenderness. Safer alternatives are Fluvastatin and Pravastatin.
Resulting In: Polymyositis, Rhabdomyolysis Verapamil HCl can increase the serum levels of Atorvastatin Calcium and increase the risk of toxicity.
Daptomycin interacts with Atorvastatin Calcium
Consider temporarily suspending use of atorvastatin during treatment with Cubicin.
Coadministration of Daptomycin and Atorvastatin Calcium may have an increased risk of myopathy.
Telithromycin interacts with Atorvastatin Calcium
Avoid this combination. May use pravastatin or fluvastatin.
Resulting In: Rhabdomyolysis, myopathy Telithromycin may increase blood levels of Atorvastatin Calcium.
