Known Precautions and Warnings :
Alfuzosin interacts with Atenolol
Use this combination with caution.
Resulting In: hypotension, bradycardia Alfuzosin may increase the serum levels and pharmacological and adverse effects of Atenolol.
Atenolol interacts with Ampicillin
Monitor blood pressure and consider increasing the dose of ATENOLOL. Administering AMPICILLIN in smaller, more divided doses and staggering administration times may avoid this interaction.
Ampicillin may reduce the antihypertensive effects of Atenolol.
Betaxolol HCl interacts with Atenolol
Avoid this combination if possible. Monitor blood pressure and side effects when using this combination.
Betaxolol HCl may enhance the pharmacological and toxic effects of Atenolol.
Carteolol HCl interacts with Atenolol
Monitor blood pressure and side effects when using this combination.
Carteolol HCl may enhance the pharmacological and toxic effects of Atenolol.
Diltiazem HCl interacts with Atenolol
May need to lower the dose of BETA BLOCKER if interaction occurs. Also consider using alternative therapy.
Resulting In: bradycardia Diltiazem HCl may increase the pharmacological effects of Atenolol.
Dolasetron interacts with Atenolol
Use with caution and monitor patient response.
Atenolol may reduce the clearance of Dolasetron.
Quinidine interacts with Atenolol
No special precautions necessary. Monitor pulse and blood pressure and adjust BETA BLOCKER dose as needed.
Resulting In: Orthostatic hypotension, bradycardia Quinidine may increase the pharmacological effects of Atenolol.
Timolol Maleate interacts with Atenolol
